The Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, College of Health Sciences, University of Alberta, in partnership with Alberta Health Services, Edmonton Zone, is inviting applications for an academic/tenured track (AMHSP) anesthesiologist position at associate or full professor level. The successful candidate will focus on perioperative medicine and medical education, contributing to clinical care, research, and quality improvement.
Location: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Responsibilities
- Mentor and teach medical students, residents, fellows, and research students.
- Participate in clinical care, education, and research activities.
- Engage in research impact and knowledge dissemination, reviewed annually with Chair and Dean.
- Assume a leadership role in the academic setting.
Qualifications
- MD and FRCPC (or equivalent) in anesthesiology, eligible for licensure with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
- Advanced training in educational scholarship and a strong record of scholarship in preoperative optimization and perioperative medicine.
- Experience in administrative and leadership roles within an academic environment is preferred.
