We are seeking a customer-service focused individual that is eager to learn our in-house payroll system, to grow with our team and to support our caring culture. Key Responsibilities Processing semi‑monthly company payroll, ensuring accuracy of employee transactions, changes, updates, etc. First point of contact for employees and leaders regarding payroll related items Perform calculations for adjustments within pay such as bonus payments, retroactive payments, overpayments, special adjustments, etc.

Create and submit necessary payroll reports and journal entries Create and maintain appropriate process documentation and manuals Collaborate with other departments including time management, compensation, employee health and people services on employee pay related items Liaise and support Service Canada and other external entities by creating, managing, administering, and submitting ROEs, requirements to pay, garnishments, etc. Maintain accurate employee information while ensuring privacy is protected appropriately Responsible for preparing and reconciling all statutory remittances Experience & Qualifications High School Completion Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation from the National Payroll Institute required 5+ years of Canadian payroll processing experience in a high‑volume in‑house payroll operation. Requires an understanding of payroll, benefits and taxation and an understanding of applicable legislative requirements Strong aptitude with numbers and mathematical abilities required Proven ability to manage sensitive information with diplomacy, confidentiality, and a sense of discretion Proven ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively prioritize work Excellent communication and strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify and effectively utilize resources and good judgement to solve problems Willingness to work a flexible schedule Intermediate to advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.) JDE system experience is considered a strong asset The benefits of being a WestJetter A fun and friendly culture with colleagues who work together to win Travel privileges for you and your family, effective from your start date Savings and Benefit programs that are flexible to meet your specific needs Our safety promise At WestJet, the safety and security of our people and our guests is a core value and at the heart of what we do.
