AI Engineer

Relocation Authorized: National - Single Telework Type: Part-Time Telework Work Location: Houston, TX Role Overview In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy AI, data science, and machine learning solutions to support engineering and business workflows. The position requires strong data engineering capabilities, experience with Databricks and Microsoft Azure, and hands‑on work with machine learning and generative AI (LLMs), including AI agents and Copilot‑based solutions. You will collaborate closely with engineering and digital stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and production‑ready AI solutions aligned with enterprise governance standards.

This role is designated part‑time telework per our global telework policy and requires at least three days of in‑person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in‑person schedules will be determined by the individual and supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership. Major Responsibilities Develop and deploy AI solutions for engineering and business use cases Build and maintain data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and feature engineering workflows Design and implement LLM and generative AI solutions, including prompts, embeddings, and RAG Develop, customize, and support AI agents and Copilot‑based automation solutions Analyze requirements and ensure compliance with enterprise work processes, security, governance, and Responsible AI standards Integrate and support data and system interfaces and manage model evaluation, monitoring, and continuous improvement Collaborate with stakeholders and provide technical guidance, training, documentation, and workshops as needed Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Approximately 2-5 years of professional experience in AI, data science, machine learning, and/or data engineering Required Knowledge and Skills Experience developing AI, machine learning, and data science solutions for production use cases Strong data engineering skills (ETL/ELT, structured and unstructured data) Proficiency in Python and SQL Hands‑on experience with Databricks and MLflow Experience with MLOps and model lifecycle management Experience with Microsoft Azure data and AI services Experience with machine learning models and LLMs, including RAG architectures Experience building or integrating AI agents / Copilot‑based solutions (e.g., LangGraph or similar) Experience working with OpenAI or other generative AI models Strong collaboration skills in enterprise, cross‑functional environments Benefits We offer robust benefits to ensure our people thrive.
