Overview
In this role you will provide market fundamentals and short/medium-term LPG supply/demand analysis to support global trading activities, primarily for the London region. You will develop a deep understanding of LPG pricing dynamics, S&D modelling, and arbitrage opportunities, collaborating with traders and cross-functional teams. You will build and maintain models, track shipments, and synthesize external insights to inform trading strategies.

Responsibilities- Maintain and enhance LPG supply and demand models with seasonal cycles and trade data
- Model steam cracker economics and incorporate macro variables into forecasts
- Utilize import/export data and shipping fixtures to validate model outputs
- Monitor global LPG trading positions and communicate market exposures to traders
- Identify market anomalies and assess impacts on physical and forward markets
- Develop a 6–12 month market outlook using fundamental and technical indicators
- Create predictive models and share insights with stakeholders
- Engage with consultants and brokers to capture external market views
- Collaborate with other product desks to assess cross-barrel impacts
- Track geopolitical/regulatory factors affecting LPG flows and pricing
- Prepare data-driven presentations and improve forecasting methodologies
- Support vessel and cargo tracking using AIS and satellite data
- Integrate shipping data into supply/demand balances to inform trading decisions
- Provide ad hoc market analysis and participate in infrastructure-related projects
- Build consensus across Commercial and external teams to align on market view
- Right to live and work in the UK on a permanent basis or eligible for sponsorship
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline desirable
- Relevant experience in commercial, trading or energy industry
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Preferred: coding in Visual Basic, Python and/or R
- Preferred: SQL and Power BI
- Preferred: statistical modeling software and database/economic modeling experience
- Working knowledge of commercial trading or global commodity markets
- Knowledge of refining/petrochemicals
