Location: Winnipeg
Job Type: Full‑time (Mon–Fri, with one Saturday shift per month).

Job Summary

As a member of the Community Helper team, you will provide services to children, youth, and families primarily in the neighbourhood catchment area, in partnership with residents and community-based agencies. You must have working knowledge of computer programs, daily data entry, and be able to work occasional evenings and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

  • Provide services to children, youth, and families within the neighbourhood catchment area.
  • Collaborate with residents and community-based agencies to deliver supports.
  • Maintain accurate daily data entry in computer programs.
  • Attend occasional evening and Saturday shifts as needed.

Qualifications

  • Initiate, develop, and implement programs and services addressing neighbourhood needs.
  • Experience with community structures and community development processes.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with Indigenous and Non‑Indigenous organizations.
  • Excellent advocacy, written, and keyboarding skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Team player with a high level of independence.
  • Respectful, motivational, and able to build helping relationships.
  • Valid Manitoba driver’s license; vehicle access is an asset.
  • Must provide a current (within the last three months) Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector search, Child Abuse Registry Check, and be subject to a Prior Contact Check.
