Position Details
FLSA: Non-Exempt
SALARY: $13.91 hourly
WORK DAYS: 240
LOCATION: HR - MCPEC
REPORTS TO: Manager of Rec
Primary Function: An Admin I (Recruitment and Retention) provides clerical duties to support assigned administrative personnel; communicating information to staff, students, the public, and other districts; ensuring compliance with financial, legal and administrative requirements; and providing information and/or direction; and provides logistical support for recruitment and retention events and initiatives.
Requirements
- Educational Level: High School Diploma/GED
- Experience: Minimum one year of experience or equivalent technical/business certificate; Knowledge based testing for the required job skills may be requested
- Physical Activities: Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Written and oral communication; typing; communication; computer
Essential Duties
- Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
- Assist with answering the telephone for the purpose of ensuring excellent customer service.
- Evaluates situations (e.g., involving other staff, students, parents, the public, etc.) for the purpose of taking appropriate action and/or directing to appropriate personnel for resolution.
- Maintains inventories of supplies and materials for the purpose of ensuring items availability.
- Performs record keeping and data entry (confidential and non-confidential) and general and program specific clerical and administrative functions (e.g., scheduling, copying, faxing, Business Plus online functions, etc.) for the purpose of supporting assigned administrator and/or site with necessary materials and procedure compliance.
- Prepares materials and content for the purpose of social media use, documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information.
- Processes documents and materials to disseminate information to appropriate parties.
- Responds to inquiries from internal and external parties (e.g., staff, parents, students, public agencies, etc.) to provide information, facilitating communication among parties and/or providing direction.
- Supports assigned administrative personnel with administrative functions to include occasional local/regional travel and occasional evening and weekend availability.
- Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
