Administrator

Salary: 13.10 - 14.83 per hour
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 07:30am - 04:15pm Monday to Thursday, 07:30am - 03:00pm Friday
Location: Fawley, Southampton

Pay Rate:

Forklift Licence / Experience:
13.49 per hour if you have forklift experience.

Administration Only:
13.10 per hour.

Role Overview

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Administrator to join a busy warehouse and administration team in Fawley.

This is a predominantly office-based role, with some warehouse-based duties, providing administrative and operational support to the team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Co-Ordinator and will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the operation.

The role would suit someone with strong administrative, analytical and communication skills, who is confident using IT systems and can work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working within site safety management systems and company safety procedures

  • Taking responsibility for your own Health & Safety and the safety of those around you

  • Managing daily enquiries received via the shared mailbox

  • Managing daily orders through the online app system

  • Maintaining MSDS files and informing the relevant team of any new or amended MSDS information

  • Producing Open Bin Pick Lists

  • Raising and managing Non-Conformances, including updating spreadsheets and investigating stock discrepancies

  • Managing Receipts Non-Conformances, including updating spreadsheets and completing warehouse and system checks

  • Raising PMI requests

  • Completing the daily collation of documents for scanning and uploading to SAP

  • Responding to ad-hoc requests from management

  • Providing general administrative and warehouse support to the team as required

Candidate Requirements



  • Good administrative, analytical and communication skills

  • Good level of IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook

  • Familiarity with SAP would be advantageous, although training will be provided where required

  • Ability to prioritise and manage your own workload effectively

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

  • Ability to take initiative while recognising when to seek guidance or assistance

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Good organisational skills

  • Previous warehouse, logistics or administration experience would be advantageous

  • Forklift experience/licence is required for the higher hourly rate

Health and safety is a key part of this position. The successful candidate will be expected to take responsibility for their own safety and the safety of those around them, while working within the site's safety management systems and procedures.
