Job DescriptionLocation:Co. Kildare Type: Full-time, permanent Salary: €35-37k basic Our client, a growing and established construction group company, are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is a newly created role due to continued expansion and will see the successful candidate reporting to the Financial Controller, gaining experience across financial reporting, accounts payable, reconciliations and month-end activities while contributing to effective financial control and reporting.
Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts Prepare and post accounting journals, accruals, prepayments Maintain and reconcile the general ledger Prepare bank reconciliations Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Process and reconcile invoices Complete monthly creditor reconciliations Prepare monthly payment runs Assist with the preparation of VAT returns, RCT submissions and other tax-related filings Ad-hoc duties as required Key Requirements Some experience in an accounting, bookkeeping or finance administration role would be advantageous with training provided Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience using accounting software and ERP systems is beneficial Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders Positive, can-do attitude with a proactive approach Due to the high volume of applications received, we regret that we are unable to respond to all applications.
