Accounting Technician

Overview

Our client, a well-established company in the manufacturing sector, is currently seeking an Accounting Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and self-sufficient. They will play an active role in managing accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy of the company’s financial data.

Responsibilities

• Managing the full accounting cycle (accounts payable and accounts receivable)
• Performing journal entries, bank reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations
• Supporting the Finance Manager with balance sheet analysis and the preparation of monthly financial statements
• Collaborating with various departments on daily operations
• Participating in the year‑end audit process with external auditors
• Ensuring compliance with tax obligations
• Contributing to various internal projects
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
• Performing any other related duties

Qualifications

• DEC in Accounting, Administration, or any related field (AEC or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience, ideally in a manufacturing SME
• Knowledge of an ERP system is an asset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Excellent command of French (spoken and written)
• Good command of English (level 7/10) – communication with clients outside Quebec
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
