About the role

Join our team as a highly skilled, detail‑oriented Accounting Specialist in the Finance Claims, IT & Fleet team. This full‑time permanent role is based in Montreal, Laval, Toronto or St‑Hyacinthe and works alongside the Manager to drive large‑scale projects that impact Intact’s Claims department.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute processes for complex reporting and forecasting activities, supporting decision‑making and driving multiple process enhancements.
  • Gather, reconcile, and analyze operational, financial and project‑specific data for Project Portfolio reporting.
  • Develop innovative tools, models and processes to identify key performance trends, improvement opportunities and ensure compliance.
  • Provide insights, analysis, modeling and business support to measure and track benefits of projects and initiatives.
  • Participate in project management meetings and collaborate with the Financial Planning & Analysis team to align on benefits capture.
  • Present key findings to diverse stakeholders.
  • Support initiatives to enhance financial reporting and address business challenges, streamlining operations and improving efficiency of reporting and planning activities related to project monitoring and corporate fleet management.
  • Work closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment and foster strong relationships across teams.
  • Support the National Fleet team and strategy, providing process and performance insight, optimization and accounting support; help evolve the climate strategy and execution to minimize cost and maximize efficiency while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Professional accounting or finance designation.
  • Post‑secondary education in Finance or Accounting (required).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial/data analysis, preparation of written reports and project‑management activities (asset).
  • Excellent proficiency with Excel and advanced analysis and visualization tools (Power BI, Power Query, Python, etc.).
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism required.
  • Authorization to work in Canada (work experience in Canada not required).
