Accounting Manager

Overview

In this Accounting Manager role, you will own underwriting results reporting and the month-end process to ensure accuracy, controls, and insights across complex insurance data. You will lead a small accounting team and collaborate with FP&A, actuarial, reinsurance and regulatory bodies to deliver timely financial reporting. The position sits in the London Finance team and contributes to the company’s mission of risk-aware, high-integrity financial management.

• Lead the production of monthly, quarterly and annual underwriting results across premiums, claims, reserves and acquisition costs
• Own and continuously improve the end-to-end month-end accounting process with strong controls
• Oversee reconciliations and technical balance controls for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Lead, develop and motivate a small accounting team
• Collaborate with FP&A, actuarial, reinsurance, regulatory teams, auditors and head office to deliver accurate financial insights and reporting

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of insurance accounting, including Lloyd’s and company market principles
• Experience managing and developing accounting teams
• Ability to interpret complex datasets and solve problems effectively
