Accountant - South Belfast

MCS Group are looking for an Accountant to join this well established and growing Practice.

The Company:

Our client is a well respected Accountancy Practice located in South Belfast. This practice has a strong reputation for providing tailored, high-quality services to a broad portfolio of clients across a range of sectors. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to recruit an Accountant to join their friendly and supportive team.

The Role:

As the successful Accountant you will be responsible for the following:

• Prepare statutory and management accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Complete VAT returns, bookkeeping and a small amount of payroll processing.
• Prepare both corporate and personal tax returns.
• Support audit assignments, gaining exposure across a range of engagements.
• Rotate between service teams to broaden your experience across accounts, audit, tax and business services.
• Work closely with experienced colleagues in a collaborative, supportive environment.

The Person:

The successful Accountant will meet the following criteria:

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Qualified by Experience (QBE) or ACA/ACCA qualified.
• Strong technical accounts knowledge with the ability to manage a varied workload.
• Experience across accounts preparation, tax and bookkeeping.
• Confident working with a diverse portfolio of clients and delivering high-quality service.
