The role

As an Accountant with Love + Partners, you will be involved in providing taxation, compliance and business services to a range of clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing individual, partnership, trust and company tax returns
  • Preparing Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements
  • Assisting with payroll tax and workers' compensation requirements
  • Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office
  • Researching taxation and accounting matters
  • Supporting Senior Accountants, Managers and Partners across business services engagements
  • Building professional relationships with clients and assisting with the collection and clarification of financial information
  • Taking ownership of assignments and ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed timeframes
  • Contributing to process improvements and making effective use of technology
  • Participating in internal technical training and ongoing professional development.

About you

We are looking for someone who is keen to develop their career and become a valued member of our team.

Ideally, you will have:

  • An accounting degree or equivalent qualification
  • Approximately 2โ€“5 years' experience in taxation, accounting or business services
  • Commenced, or be progressing towards, your CA or CPA qualification
  • A sound understanding of accounting and taxation principles
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Developing problem-solving and research capabilities
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with both colleagues and clients
  • A willingness to learn, seek feedback and continually improve
  • Experience using contemporary accounting and related technology.
