Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Ahmedabad. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial activities, including maintaining general ledgers, preparing journal entries, and reconciling bank and vendor accounts.
The role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The Accountant will ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, taxation rules, and internal policies, while maintaining accurate documentation and records. The position also includes collaborating with internal teams, responding to financial queries, and assisting auditors with required information and reports.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
- Experience with accounting software and proficiency in spreadsheets (e.g., MS Excel) for financial analysis and reconciliation.
- Understanding of tax regulations, statutory compliance, and audit processes relevant to corporate finance.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and the ability to maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site in Ahmedabad.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA, CPA equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a corporate or technology company finance department is preferred.
