Job Description

This is a full-time opportunity for a skilled Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial operations of an NDIS-registered organisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, NDIS claims reconciliation, and compliance with sector-specific funding requirements, while supporting the broader finance and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monthly management accounts and financial reports for review by senior leadership, along with reconciling NDIS plan-managed and self-managed client claims against the PRODA and myplace portals.
  • Processing accounts payable and receivable, including participant invoicing and service agreement billing, as well as monitoring NDIS pricing arrangements and ensuring services are billed correctly under the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits.
  • Preparing BAS, payroll tax, and other statutory obligations, assisting with budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and audit preparation, and maintaining accurate records to support funding acquittals and internal compliance reviews.
  • Liaising closely with support coordinators, plan managers, and participants' families regarding billing queries, and contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes across the organisation.

About You

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of one to two years' experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within the NDIS, disability, aged care, or broader community services sector. Familiarity with NDIS claiming systems such as PRODA and myplace, along with a sound understanding of NDIS pricing structures and compliance obligations, will be highly regarded. Strong working knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or similar platforms is essential, as is high attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing deadlines.

A genuine interest in the disability sector and alignment with our organisation's values of care, integrity, and inclusion will set you apart.

What We Offer

This role offers a competitive salary of $79,000 to $95,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with experience, alongside a supportive and values-driven workplace culture. You will have the opportunity to contribute to an organisation making a genuine difference in the lives of people with disability, with ongoing professional development and career growth opportunities in a stable and expanding sector.
