Role Description The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. This full-time role involves preparing financial statements, tracking project expenses, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring timely invoicing and payments. The Accountant will also assist with statutory compliance, tax filings, and internal controls to maintain accurate and transparent financial records.
This is an on-site position based in Bengaluru, working closely with project and leadership teams to provide financial insights that support the studio’s design work.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger management.
- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for projects or small to mid-sized firms.
- Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets; comfort working with digital tools and data analysis.
- Knowledge of local accounting standards, taxation, and statutory compliance relevant to Bengaluru/India.
- Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, design-focused environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in architecture, design, or creative industries is beneficial but not required.
