Accountant

Baka Pozd Business Consultancy is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our finance team in Toronto. This role is ideal for a finance professional who is passionate about maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting the company’s financial operations. The successful candidate will contribute to ensuring compliance, financial transparency, and efficient accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and journal entries.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow transactions.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accurate financial records.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Assist with tax documentation, audit preparation, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external auditors regarding financial matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of Canadian accounting practices and tax regulations is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
