Role Overview
The Institute of Project Management (IPM) is seeking an Account Manager to manage and grow relationships with key corporate clients. This role involves overseeing a portfolio of enterprise accounts, ensuring successful delivery of project management training programmes, and identifying opportunities to expand partnerships. Beyond managing your own portfolio, you will act as a senior figure within the account management function — helping to lead, mentor and develop the wider team while driving revenue growth and the commercial success of the business across both domestic and international markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow corporate accounts valued at €100K–€500K.
- Build strong relationships with HR, L&D, and senior leadership stakeholders.
- Ensure successful delivery of training and certification programmes.
- Drive renewals, upsells, and account expansion opportunities.
- Maintain regular client engagement and ensure high satisfaction.
- Lead, mentor and support the wider account management team, sharing best practice and helping raise performance across the function.
- Drive revenue growth and contribute to the commercial development and expansion of the business.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans, applying strong commercial judgement to prioritise opportunities and maximise account value.
- Manage relationships with international and multi-market clients, adapting your approach across regions.
Requirements
- 4–5 years of B2B account management experience.
- Proven experience managing large enterprise accounts (€100K–€500K).
- Strong relationship management and communication skills.
- Project management experience is essential.
- Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor or coach team members (formally or informally).
- Strong commercial and strategic thinking, with a track record of driving revenue growth.
- A confident, consultative seller, able to identify and close new business and expansion opportunities.
Preferred
- Experience in corporate training, professional education, SaaS, or consulting.
- Experience leading or developing a team of account managers.
- Experience working with international markets.
