Job Description
The Deck Officer reports to the Captain (or ChiefOfficer when designated) and also acts as a Dynamic Positioning Operator. Theyhave the general responsibility (not limited to) for safe navigation,maintaining the vessel s position with the DP system, and theoperation/maintenance of safety and rescue equipment, in accordance with theCaptain s directives, maritime regulations, and the Company s ManagementSystem. They supervise maneuvers, maritime traffic, and communications,ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

You will conduct the vessels navigation;Supervise deck operations;
Ensure safety and compliance with maritimeregulations;
Monitor navigation equipment and vessel stability;
Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, safetyand lifesaving procedures;
Participate in emergency drills and training;
Maintain ship records and operationaldocumentation;
Supervise maneuvers, maritime traffic, andcommunications, ensuring operational efficiency and safety;
Operate the Dynamic Positioning (DP) system;
Maintain the vessel stable and in the correctoffshore position;
In your daily work, you will ensure safety duringoperations near platforms and offshore equipment.
Requisitos e qualificações
To succeed in this role, we expect you to:
- Experience in the role aboard Dynamic Positioning vessels;
- Availability for offshore assignments;
- Commitment to safety and quality in the workplace;
- Valid STCW certificates;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
- Advanced English;
- Certificate of Competence issued by the Brazilian Maritime Authority STCW II/1 or higher;
- Basic and Advanced Safety Courses issued by the Brazilian Maritime Authority;
- Special Basic Course in Ship Security Awareness;
- Unlimited DP (Full DP) in some specific cases, the Advanced Course may be considered;
- Registration and Record Booklet (CIR);
- Yellow Fever Vaccination.
