Job Description
VANRATH is working with a well established print and design business in Belfast on the appointment of an experienced, commercially minded Account Manager to join their Client Services team.
This is a key role, working alongside the existing account managers to manage and grow a portfolio of clients across the print and design studio side of the business. It will suit someone with a strong print background (design studio experience an advantage too) who understands the pace of a busy design and print environment and can confidently run client relationships, enquiries, quotations and projects from first contact through to delivery.
This is not simply about managing existing orders. You will be expected to spot opportunities, grow accounts, re-engage lapsed customers and turn new inbound enquiries into revenue, working closely with the design and production teams to keep the service high quality and commercially focused throughout.

- Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Take ownership of a portfolio of existing client accounts, building strong, long term commercial relationships
- Act as a key point of contact for clients by phone, email and in person
- Understand each client's business and challenges, identifying opportunities to add products and services
- Develop accounts through cross-selling, upselling and regular contact
- Re-engage lapsed and inactive clients to generate new opportunities
- Respond quickly and professionally to inbound enquiries and leads
- Recommend the right print, design and production solutions and prepare accurate, commercially viable quotations
- Follow up quotations and opportunities through to conversion
- Maintain an organised pipeline, keeping leads and follow-ups on track
- Manage client projects from brief and quotation through to delivery and invoicing
- Communicate client requirements clearly to design and production, keeping delivery accurate and on time
- Resolve client queries efficiently, taking ownership through to resolution
- Keep client and project information accurate on internal systems
The Ideal Candidate
Essential
- Previous account management or sales experience within the design and/or print industry
- Strong understanding of print products, processes and terminology
- Proven track record managing and developing client accounts
- Experience handling inbound sales enquiries and converting them into revenue
- Commercially confident, with experience preparing, presenting and following up quotations
- Strong client relationship and communication skills, by phone, email and face to face
- Excellent organisation, able to juggle multiple client requirements at once
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
- Comfortable working to individual and team revenue targets
Desirable
- Experience across both print and creative/design services
- Experience with CRM or sales management systems
- Experience of tender submissions or proposal writing
- Existing knowledge of the Northern Ireland business market and client network
