1A Semi Truck Driver

W.F. Botkin is currently seeking a Truck Driver. This position is responsible ensuring materials or equipment get to and from site.

Job Duties:

• Oversee cargo handling and secure load including equipment preparation, application of safe practices, and compliance with application Acts and government regulations
• Haul material in trucks to site unloading area. Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment or other materials.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Perform basic truck maintenance, i.e. grease, check tires, etc.
• Report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicle(s)
• Work closely with site crews and follow instructions from supervisors
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and deliveries made.
• Ensure cargo reaches its destination in a timely manner

Requirements:

• 1-4 years experience operating a truck with a proven ability to maneuver extended loads
• Ability to drive manual trucks
• Valid Class 1A drivers license with the ability to get to and from site; Clean drivers abstract
• Ability to perform strenuous, physical tasks daily.
• Ability to work in a high paced environment
• Be able to drive for long periods of time
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to tarp, access and enter boxes
