The Territory Sales Manager role is a critical role in our high‑performing sales team. The successful candidate will manage all sales and executional functions within the assigned geography, including retail sales and possibly account management or wholesaler sales. Selling and servicing PMI U.S.’s cigar portfolio in retail stores in the assigned geography includes gaining new item distribution, promotion execution, merchandising products, and product rotation for freshness of all products in all assigned stores.

This candidate is able to utilize our data to develop fact‑based presentations for customers and follow our call process while ensuring all administrative aspects, including expenses and point‑of‑sale materials, are executed according to our standards. He/ she is self‑motivated to achieve their personal best every day while creating an environment of cooperation, credibility, candor, consistency, and a commitment to exceptional performance. Key Responsibilities Contribute to the achievement of company and regional objectives by meeting or exceeding trade program and promotion goals.

Proactively identify and capitalize on new business opportunities. Develop and implement long and short‑term business plans to efficiently grow the business. Analyze post‑program data to eliminate duplication of errors and learn for improved future results.

Develop and maintain strong partnerships with retail, wholesale, and account key decision makers in the territory. Effectively sell concepts, programs and products to assigned customers. Merchandise PMI U.S.’s cigar products in stores for maximum consumer reach.

Efficiently manage inventory. Manage all administrative tasks on‑time with consistency and accuracy. Maintain call frequencies as established by the Cigar District Manager.

Understand and effectively use tools and resources available to be effective in the role: Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word MSA Data (standardized reports and ad hoc information) Salesforce (MAFs, store lists, trade programs, campaigns, customer contact information, authorized items) Analyze and develop action plans from shipment/financial information and make timely, purposeful decisions and recommendations. Effectively plan and coordinate work activities based on prioritization. Establish efficient work procedures to ensure business objectives are met in a timely and accurate fashion.

Set goals and effectively accomplish those goals in a timely fashion. Communicate with impact internally and with customers. Experience / Skills Two or more years of experience in retail sales, wholesale grocery, route sales, or other relevant experience.

Proven strong organizational skills. Proficient verbal and written presentation skills. Intermediate to proficient skills in Excel and PowerPoint.

Salesforce experience preferred. Assume personal accountability for achievement of business goals. Self‑motivated.

Displays a high energy level and positive attitude toward business objectives. Background Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Requirements This position requires occasional lifting of materials up to 30 pounds in service of merchandising responsibilities and infrequent lifting of materials up to 50 pounds.

Ability to possess federally regulated products (be at least 21 years of age).
