A rare, remote opportunity for an experienced and confident Analytics Engineer (Data Platform) with up to 4+ years experience , to join a UK‑based, award‑winning tech scale‑up remotely. With teams across the globe, inc; India, Cape Town and HQ in London UK, the company, founded by a respected UK entrepreneur and recognised with 35+ industry awards, comes with strong credibility, traction and a modern tech stack. As the Analytics / Data Platform Engineer , you’ll report to the UK‑based CTO and take ownership of the data platform and Infrastructure , strengthening the foundations that power product, commercial and strategic growth.

Salary aligned to local markets and dependant on experience - Guideline: India: $3,000 USD p/m | UK: £45,000–£60,000 p/a | South Africa: R55,000–R75,000 p/m - Other locations considered Key Responsibilities: Own and evolve the data platform: Take ownership of the existing data infrastructure and evolve it into a more scalable, governed, insight‑driven environment, bringing structure, best practices and continuous improvement to their current analytics capability.

Lead data modelling and warehousing , improving structures and applying best‑practice design. Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure reliable, high‑quality data flows. Build BI models, dashboards and a governed metric layer that support daily decisions and long‑term forecasting.

Translate business questions into clear metrics and insights that drive strategy and operational improvements. Define and improve data governance including documentation, conventions and quality standards. Identify gaps in data usage and recommend improvements to tooling, processes and instrumentation.

Present insights to senior leadership with clarity and commercial understanding. Collaborate with stakeholders and the Development team on technical requirements and data‑driven solutions. Improve visibility of churn, behaviour and product performance through structured analysis and modelling.

Leverage call transcription and behavioural data to uncover new opportunities. Shape data collection and experimentation to support better measurement and learning. What Great Looks Like in This Role You have personally owned a modern data warehouse (e.g.

BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift ), including modelling, ETL/ELT and BI outputs. You can translate business problems into metrics, models and insights that influence real decisions, not just produce reports. You are highly fluent in SQL (BigQuery preferred) and comfortable with window functions, CTEs, optimisation and complex modelling logic.

You work directly with stakeholders to understand commercial challenges and shape data‑driven solutions. You can quantify the impact of your work and communicate insights with clarity and commercial understanding. You build dashboards and BI assets that are accurate, intuitive and tied to business goals.

You take ownership of data quality, governance and documentation and proactively improve the data environment. You are comfortable working end‑to‑end — from ingestion to modelling to BI and insight delivery. Excellent communication skills with Native level English language skills Current Tools, Data Sources & Infrastructure: Google BigQuery as the core data warehouse ETL/ELT via BigQuery scheduled queries and Google Cloud Functions Event‑driven pipelines using Google Pub/Sub Mixpanel for product analytics (with data flowing into BigQuery) Google Data Studio (formerly Looker Studio) for BI Vertex AI powering a machine‑learning churn prediction model A rich set of data sources spanning customer service, sales, billing and credit control, VoIP usage, customer portal behaviour, communications (email/SMS), marketing activity and systems performance Due to high application volumes, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted - but we genuinely review, appreciate and value every application and wish you the very best in your search.
