Lead Piping Layout Engineer

Position - Lead Piping Layout Engineer Location - Vashi, Navi Mumbai Qualifications - B.E. / B. Tech. - Chemical / Mechanical Experience - 10+ years of experience in detailed design and layout engineering Industry - Oil & Gas Immediate Joinee Preferred Responsibilities Development of equipment layout, piping layout based on PIDs, Process and distance guidelines. Development and review of 3D piping model, isometrics, and piping general arrangement (GA) drawings.

Generation of 3D model for 30%, 60% and 90% model review. Ensure pipe routing is in coordination with process, mechanical, structural, and civil teams. Ensure proper spacing for E&I/ CS in the model in discussion with other departments Ensure all underground facilities are modelled properly to avoid fouling Carry out internal model reviews on fort night basis Participate in model reviews, design reviews, and provide technical solutions for layout challenges Closeout of model review tags Perform clash detection at various stages of model development; and resolve the clashes Ensure compliance with various codes and standards, and client specifications.

Prepare/Extract and check MTOs (Material Take-Offs) Interpret P&IDs and vendor drawings for efficient design. Interface with other disciplines to ensure design consistency and resolve inter-disciplinary issues. Support construction, procurement, and field engineering teams with design clarifications and revisions.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of project specifications and industry best practices. Technical Required Skills Knowledge of various standards & codes IS, ASME, BS, DIN, API, OISD, NFPA, ISO, NSI, etc. Understanding of Materials /PMS / Client specifications Proficiency in dealing with software’s such as E3D, SP3D, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, CAD Worx, Navisworks etc.
