Geotechnical Advisor – Geotechnical Engineer / Geo‑Environmental Consultant / Civil Engineer / Design Manager We are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer, Geo‑Environmental Consultant, Civil Engineer, or Design Manager to join our in‑house geotechnical team. The role is suitable for Assistant, Intermediate or Senior level candidates and is open to those with experience in consultancy or main contractor environments. Duties Provide technical support on live projects, including Earthworks procurement and review of specifications, strategies and plans.
Conduct site investigations, on‑site testing, and validate earthwork strategies. Prepare and maintain Geotechnical Risk Registers and Geotechnical Assessment reports. Assist the design team, liaise with external geotechnical engineers, clients, subcontractors and resolve matters during or after construction.
Offer value engineering solutions and support site teams as required. Requirements Knowledge of the building and/or civil engineering sector. Previous employment as a geotechnical engineer, design engineer, civil engineer, geo‑environmental consultant, design manager or similar.
Strong background in foundation design/geotechnics. Relevant industry qualification (degree, HND, HNC, etc). Experience with Earthworks or slope stability projects preferred.
Experience in Earthworks supervision is advantageous. Location The role involves a mix of remote working and site visits across the UK. Candidates based in the Midlands are preferred, but we are flexible to consider nationwide applicants willing to travel to sites.
Remuneration Competitive basic salary, dependent on experience. Car allowance. Competitive pension scheme.
