Our client is a well-established multi-service construction company operating in the commercial, industrial, and civil sectors. With a long history of delivering high-quality projects and a strong commitment to safety and innovation, they are seeking a Sheet Metal Mechanical Project Manager to join their growing team. The Sheet Metal Mechanical Project Manager will play a key role in overseeing project execution, managing budgets and schedules, and leading both field and office teams to ensure successful delivery of complex mechanical construction projects.
Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end delivery of mechanical construction projects from pre-construction to closeout Manage day-to-day site operations, including Superintendents, Foremen, and Project Coordinators Develop, monitor, and update project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts Oversee contract administration, subcontractor negotiations, and change order management Coordinate procurement, material release, and equipment expediting Ensure accurate progress billing, cost control, and overall financial performance Prepare and manage project documentation, submittals, and reporting Lead pre-construction turnover and post-construction closeout meetings Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders Ensure compliance with safety standards, permits, and regulatory requirements Support tender coordination and collaborate with estimating and senior leadership The successful candidate has: Minimum 5 yearsβ experience as a Project Manager in mechanical construction Proven track record managing projects with contract values from $1M β $50M Experience preparing detailed project estimates, budgets, and take-offs Familiarity with contract delivery models such as Fixed Price, Construction Management, GMP, and Fixed Fee Engineering degree or CET designation considered an asset Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Procore, Accubid, LiveCount, or similar project management software Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills Compensation and benefits: Competitive compensation package based on experience Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered Comprehensive benefits package Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
