We are seeking a seasoned HRIS professional with deep working knowledge of PeopleSoft and/or Workday.
The Senior HR Analyst supports operational business partners to develop, implement, maintain, and improve configurations and processes within systems. The analyst will be a subject‑matter expert in selected functional areas within the HR domain and will provide technical consultation on new and existing functionality, business processes, change management, and testing efforts. The Senior HR Analyst will work with technology tools to conduct thorough data analysis, streamline processes by providing insights, and partner with stakeholders to solve problems, working on continual process improvement and leveraging technology to develop solutions.
Responsibilities Own select business processes and reports within the HR domain. Support projects and break/fix solutions through the full SDLC process. Set short‑term and long‑term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics aligned with Emory’s business strategy.
Understand end‑user business processes and recommend solutions that optimize systems and eliminate manual processes. Lead the creation or revision of functional requirements for business process and report changes. Provide business requirements to the digital configuration team for new technical solutions.
Collaborate with work groups to test scenarios and document results. Track issues through resolution with the project team. Deliver training solutions to stakeholders and support user adoption.
Maintain HR data tools, reporting, and dashboards. Produce and deliver standard (monthly, quarterly, annual) and customized HR reports. Perform complex data manipulation or modeling to support critical business decisions.
Approve and/or establish user access to data management systems. Gather and disburse government labor statistics, new employment regulations, and labor laws. Analyze competitor practices and make recommendations to management.
Prepare reports of data results and present findings to senior leadership. Contribute to system decision‑making, scoping, and arrangement of HR system projects to support overall HR strategy. Respond to ad‑hoc HR data requests by gathering, analyzing, and reporting relevant data.
Maintain data integrity by ensuring accuracy and consistency of input data. Audit HR data and troubleshoot irregularities. Support data governance processes.
Develop and maintain a data glossary. Address a high volume of system‑related tasks in a timely, high‑quality manner while maintaining internal customer satisfaction. Skills and Abilities Consulting skills with a customer‑centric, solution‑oriented approach.
Strong verbal and written communication; clarity and concision. Ability to build and manage relationships at all levels of the organization. Process‑oriented and data‑oriented problem solver.
Effective prioritization of transactional and project‐based tasks. Collaboration across teams in a fast‑paced environment while meeting deadlines. Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Experience identifying operational issues and implementing resolution strategies. Advanced MS Excel skills. Data visualization experience using R, Tableau, or PowerBI.
Understanding of statistical modeling and descriptive statistics. Working knowledge of SQL. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s or master’s in human resources, business administration, I/O psychology, information technology, or a related field.
No professional certifications required. 4+ years of relevant HR experience. 2+ years of relevant data analytics experience. Previous experience leading system‑related projects. Physical Requirements MediumMax 25 lbs: up to 25 lbs (0‑33% of the work day occasionally); 11‑25 lbs (34‑66% of the workday frequently); 0‑10 lbs (67‑100% of the workday constantly).
Lifting 25 lbs max. Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs. Occasional to frequent standing & walking, occasional sitting, close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing).
