Manager, Audit - Financial Institutions

Manager, Audit – Financial Institutions (Hybrid) Location: Nashville, TN. The role is part of the Financial Institutions team that serves over 200 institutions with more than $115B in assets. Essential Functions Supervise financial statement audits and financial statement preparation engagements under the direction of the engagement partner.

Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop senior and staff auditors. Demonstrate expertise in accounting, auditing, and financial reporting matters unique to financial institutions. Apply a thorough understanding of internal control over financial reporting (ICFR) for financial institutions, including banks subject to FDICIA.

Communicate proactively with client management to efficiently complete audit and financial reporting projects and assist in managing client expectations. Exhibit leadership and teamwork across multiple engagements within the Atlanta practice and across the firm’s footprint within the financial institutions line. Provide advisory services during the non-peak season, including CECL consulting, FDICIA implementation, loan review, and operational internal audits.

Requirements Minimum of 4 years in public accounting serving financial institutions. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical abilities; ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Ability to lead and work well in a team environment. Experience auditing SEC registrants and/or community banks over $1 billion in assets is a plus. Employment Eligibility Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
