Job Description

Position Title: Floor Manager Reports To: General Manager / Director of Operations Position Summary The Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing daily front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining service standards, supporting staff development, and achieving operational goals. The Floor Manager serves as the leader on the restaurant floor, ensuring smooth service execution and immediate resolution of guest and operational issues. Key Responsibilities Guest Experience Ensure all guests receive exceptional hospitality and service.

Greet and interact with guests throughout service. Resolve guest concerns and complaints promptly and professionally. Monitor guest satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement.

Team Leadership Lead and supervise servers, bartenders, hosts, bussers, and support staff. Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily goals. Coach employees on service standards and performance expectations.

Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment. Operations Management Manage daily floor operations during service. Ensure proper staffing levels throughout shifts.

Monitor table turns, wait times, and seating flow. Enforce company policies, procedures, and service standards. Complete opening, shift, and closing manager checklists.

Financial Accountability Monitor labor costs and productivity. Assist in achieving sales and profitability goals. Track promotions, upselling efforts, and beverage sales.

Verify cash handling procedures and investigate variances. Food & Beverage Quality Ensure all food and beverages meet presentation and quality standards. Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain communication and service flow.

Monitor ticket times and address delays immediately. Training & Development Train and onboard new employees. Conduct ongoing coaching and performance feedback.

Support employee growth and development plans. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with health department regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant.

Enforce alcohol service policies and responsible beverage service. Ensure all safety procedures are followed. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of restaurant supervisory or management experience.

Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant operations.

Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Performance Expectations Guest satisfaction scores meet or exceed company goals.

Daily checklists completed accurately and on time. Labor costs maintained within budget. Service standards consistently executed.

Positive team culture and employee retention. Strong sales growth and operational execution.
