Job Description

Our Business Analysts play a crucial role for the organization in executing business analysis using the tools and techniques of planning, elicitation, requirements management, strategic analysis, design, and solution validation, on small to mid-size/ moderately complex projects and/or multiple business areas. What You’ll Do Plan, organize, and manage multiple demands and changing priorities. Take initiative and employ appropriate decision making.

Recognize unrelated problems and implement an appropriate solution within established guidelines. Demonstrated ability to organize, interpret, and apply data/information from a variety of sources. Develop and prepare business analysis documentation and planning.

Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and direction in both formal and informal settings. Build and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external business contacts. Qualifications Post‑secondary education in a related field (i.e., Computer Science, Business Administration) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum 7 years of BA experience, working in a technology environment. Proficiency in data analytics including the use of data technologies (e.g., Power BI) and SQL. Strong technical background with experience in data analysis, data modeling and data source mapping.

Experience with current state reporting assessments, gap and impact analysis and remediation. Agile experience including some major frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, etc. Knowledge of insurance, business, and technical areas; Property and Casualty Insurance experience an asset.

Ability to develop and prepare business analysis documentation and planning including RMPs, BRDs, and user stories. Ability to estimate work effort and provide supporting documentation. Strong understanding of various Software Development Lifecycle methodologies.

Experience using application lifecycle management tools like Team Foundation Server (TFS). Knowledge with P&C Insurance business software is a strong asset (e.g., Policy Administration/Underwriting Systems, CRM, Billing, Claims, etc.). Proficiency in data analytics including the use of data technologies (e.g., Microstrategy) and SQL.

The base salary range for this role is $92,000 - $138,000, which reflects the expected base pay – not the total compensation package. The actual base salary may vary depending on your experience, skills, and alignment with the position.
