What you’ll own Backend services and cloud systems for orchestration and fleet management Architectural decisions around reliability, scalability, and maintainability Production deployment, monitoring, alerting, and incident response The operational quality of systems running in the field What you’ll bring Solid Node.js, TypeScript, and Python experience Experience building and operating production systems Positive AWS judgment across services, infrastructure, and security A bias toward debuggable systems: explicit logs, metrics, and observability High ownership and strong instincts under operational pressure Nice to have Experience with edge/cloud architectures Experience with connected hardware or IoT fleets Familiarity with time-series data, optimization, or energy systems What success looks like in the first 6 months Core backend systems become more reliable and easier to reason about Observability improves materially You raise the bar on production ownership and operational discipline Compensation Canada: C$90,000 – C$130,000 California: US$130,000 – US$180,000 Meaningful equity tied to performance and milestones #J-18808-Ljbffr
