Job Description
Support the Engineering Manager and Lead Structural Engineer in executing projects while meeting established scope, budget, and schedule requirements. Ensure structural engineering deliverables incorporate safety, reliability, and integrity standards throughout the design process. Promote adherence to applicable engineering codes, industry standards, and company procedures.
Maintain and update structural engineering procedures, specifications, and computer-aided design tools. Perform structural engineering calculations and analyses to support project requirements. Develop technical specifications using information and requirements provided by other engineering disciplines.
Prepare and contribute to engineering reports, technical memoranda, and other project documentation within areas of expertise. Provide engineering input for project cost estimates, including capital and operating expenditures. Develop and review project design criteria, specifications, and engineering standards.
Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and provide technical recommendations. Complete assigned engineering tasks in accordance with approved budgets and project schedules. Review, sign, and seal engineering documents and drawings when professionally registered and authorized to do so.
Coordinate and manage small-scale capital improvement and maintenance projects. Assist with project definition, scope development, and planning activities. Conduct site visits to client facilities for inspections, condition assessments, and evaluation of existing structures.
Support proposal development and preparation for new project opportunities. Review and provide technical guidance on work completed by junior and intermediate engineers, designers, technicians, and technologists. Contribute to the preparation and issuance of weekly and monthly engineering progress reports.
Qualifications Bachelorโs degree in Structural Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Minimum of five years of professional engineering experience. Strong understanding of engineering principles and practical experience in the design and analysis of engineered systems and structures.
Advanced mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to apply engineering calculations and statistical methods to complex problems. Proficiency with engineering and CAD software, including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, SmartPlant, or equivalent platforms. Demonstrated technical expertise, critical thinking ability, and effective problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly. Self-driven professional with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
