Job Purpose Do you want to contribute to the development of transport electrification? Dana, a global leader in propulsion and energy‑management solutions, is looking for a Power Electronics Engineer to design advanced power electronic circuits and systems that advance sustainable vehicle technologies. Responsibilities Develop power electronic circuits (DC/DC, DC/AC, magnetic components, switching circuits, gate drivers) aligned with functional safety (ISO 26262).
Perform simulations and calculations to support component selection (IGBT, SiC MOSFET, capacitors, inductors, control circuits). Design and support PCB development, considering thermal performance and signal integrity. Support EMC‑compliant design practices, DFMEA, risk assessments, and design reviews.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with manufacturing, prototype, and benchmarking teams. Support customer meetings and communicate technical concepts to both engineering and non‑engineering stakeholders. Contribute to documentation, design processes, and release activities for electronic products.
Support quality problem‑solving activities and continuous improvement initiatives. Contribute to R&D and evaluation of new technologies for power electronics applications. Lead responses to customer RFI/RFQ for new product development.
Stay informed on new products from competitors and regulatory requirements. Lead customer proposal meetings and internal gate reviews for new business approval. Collaborate with prototype, production manufacturing, benchmarking teams and incorporate new/unique features into the design roadmap.
Represent the company as a technical expert when meeting with clients. Education and Qualifications Master’s degree in electrical engineering with a focus on Power Electronics; PhD is a plus. 3+ years of experience with a Master’s degree or 1+ year of experience with a PhD. Knowledge of Altium Designer or other common PCB CAD tools.
Proficiency with simulation tools MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape and SPICE. Experience with requirements management tools such as Polarion, DOORS, or JAMA is a plus. Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
Experience in automotive functional safety according to ISO 26262 is a plus. French/English bilingual is a plus. Strong communication skills, capable of engaging technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
