I am currently working with a well-established multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm that is looking to add a Mechanical Engineer to its growing Vancouver team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys working on complex industrial projects and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across North America. The organization has a strong reputation for delivering engineering solutions from concept development through detailed design, construction, and commissioning across a variety of sectors.

The Opportunity The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of mechanical and industrial engineering projects for clients across Canada and the United States. Working alongside civil, structural, electrical, marine, and industrial specialists, you will be involved in projects from initial planning through to execution and completion. This position offers exposure to a diverse range of heavy industrial facilities and provides the opportunity to work directly with major industrial clients while contributing to technically challenging projects.

Key Responsibilities Lead and execute mechanical engineering projects from concept through construction and commissioning. Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and detailed design packages. Develop project scopes, proposals, cost estimates, and contract documentation.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery. Conduct site visits, field investigations, and engineering assessments as required. Review and oversee mechanical system designs and engineering deliverables.

Support construction activities through inspections, testing, commissioning, and technical troubleshooting. Analyze operational and engineering data to develop practical and cost-effective solutions. Prepare and deliver technical presentations and reports to both internal teams and external clients.

Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting ongoing business development efforts. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng.) with OIQ or the ability to obtain registration within one year. 8+ years of progressive experience in mechanical and/or industrial engineering.

Proven experience delivering engineering projects within heavy industrial environments. Strong understanding of engineering design, project execution, and construction support. Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams.

Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills. Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies.

Experience in one or more of the following industries would be considered highly advantageous Mining Pulp and paper Ports and marine terminals Heavy manufacturing Additional experience with the following software is considered an asset Revit Dust Collection Modelling Software CAD-based design platforms What's On Offer Competitive salary ranging from $120,000 โ€“ $150,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
