The PDC Manager is the senior site leader accountable for customer service excellence, last‑mile delivery performance, labor relations, and long‑range site strategy, leveraging embedded and emerging automated technologies within the Parts Distribution Center (PDC). This role owns near‑term execution while developing and driving a rolling five‑year strategy aligned to network growth, customer expectations, technology evolution, workforce capability, and capital planning. The PDC Manager is expected to demonstrate enterprise‑level business acumen in supply chain distribution and industrial engineering, translating strategy, economics, and engineering tradeoffs into sustained operational performance. 5‑Year Strategic Responsibilities Develop and maintain a rolling five‑year PDC strategy aligned to network demand, dealer growth, service expectations, and cost targets Define the site roadmap for capacity expansion, layout evolution, workforce capability, digital enablement, and service reliability Identify and sponsor multi‑year initiatives focused on customer experience, last‑mile performance, labor stability, automation, and productivity Build and defend capital and operating business cases supporting long‑term investments Translate strategy into annual operating plans, KPI trajectories, and execution priorities Business Acumen & Engineering Leadership Expectations Manage the PDC as a profit‑impacting node within a broader distribution network Apply industrial engineering principles (capacity modeling, flow optimization, labor standards, layout strategy) Evaluate service‑to‑cost tradeoffs, ROI, payback, and risk for capital and technology investments Communicate complex operational and engineering concepts at the executive level Key Responsibilities Customer service ownership and senior dealer escalation leadership Last‑mile delivery and carrier performance accountability Labor relations leadership, grievance handling, and negotiations Strategic planning, financial stewardship, and people leadership AI‑enabled decision leadership, analytics governance, and technology adoption oversight Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Labor, Communications, Business, Marketing, or other related degree Minimum 10 years of experience in managerial/supervisory experience in a distribution warehouse environment Knowledge of Continuous Improvement systems and Lean Manufacturing experience Experience managing day to day operations within a union environment Proven ability to develop and execute a detailed project plan Ability to develop analysis to improve on current standard processes Driven to seek solutions to improved performances Possess a high sense of urgency to the customer and plant KPI's Must be willing to work extended weekday hours and weekends across day/evening shifts, as required Must be willing to relocate Preferred Qualifications Master's degree Our Benefits — Designed With You In Mind Comprehensive Health & Well‑being Coverage From your very first day, you’ll have access to medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage — ensuring you and your family stay healthy and protected.
