Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Specialist to manage end-to-end import and export operations. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth shipment processes, compliance with regulatory requirements, and cost-efficient logistics planning while maintaining strong coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities 1.
Prepare all the necessary documents required for smooth transit of the products from the origin to desired destination. 2. Review and prepare the L/C, prepare docs under LC terms. 3. Monitor the end-to-end procedure in export/import i.e., from paper removal to handover of Shipment to import i.e., from receiving instruction to receiving goods to our warehouse or the given destination and ensure compliance with company and legal requirement. 4.
Follow up for Exit Documents and timely submission to the customs authority. 5. Liaise with the warehouse team to check on the availability of the products. 6. Review, select carriers and negotiate contract and best rates to control logistics costs achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction. 7.
Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs/shipping quotes and efficiency. 8. Coordinate with ports, customs, RTA and concerned government departments to ensure the transition of product is unhampered. 9. Carry out the necessary documentation and system updating. 10.
Perform such other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned by the Employer from time to time, provided that such duties are consistent with the nature of the Employee’s position and reasonably aligned with the Employee’s skills, experience, and qualifications. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Proven experience in import/export operations and international logistics.
Strong knowledge of customs regulations, trade compliance, and L/C documentation. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in MS Office and logistics/ERP systems. Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills Experience in freight forwarding, heavy machinery, or manufacturing industry is an asset.
Familiarity with Canadian import/export regulations. Bilingual (English + Chinese Mandarin/Cantonese) is an advantage.
