Business Analyst – eGRC / Risk Management Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 days onsite) Start Date: ASAP Duration: 24 months (No extension) Conversion: Possible Pay Rate: $71/hour + 4% vacation pay (T4) Schedule Monday to Friday – Core Business Hours Overtime: As needed Rotation: None Project Overview This role supports business continuity and operational resilience initiatives within a leading financial institution. The Business Analyst will contribute to the development of a next-generation platform for second-line risk management under the Enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance (eGRC) framework. Team Size: ~10 members Training Period: 3–4 weeks Environment: Agile product team Role Summary We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Business Analyst (3–5 years experience) to support product development and operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to build expertise in risk management, agile delivery, and product lifecycle support . You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements, write user stories, and support platform adoption and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Gather, document, and refine business requirements with stakeholders Translate risk management processes into user stories and acceptance criteria Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritization Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments Track deliverables and ensure alignment with business and regulatory needs Prepare clear documentation, reports, and stakeholder updates Provide user support , troubleshoot issues, and assist with demos Collaborate with QA teams to validate functionality and requirements Facilitate or support workshops and stakeholder meetings Monitor progress, risks, and dependencies across the product lifecycle Perform data analysis to support decisions and investigations Candidate Profile Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher 3–5 years of Business Analyst experience Must-Have Skills Strong requirements gathering experience Experience in Agile environments (Scrum preferred) Ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria Demonstrated leadership or initiative-taking experience Proficiency in MS Office Suite , especially working with large datasets Preferred Experience Background in Banking or Financial Institutions (Top Canadian Banks preferred) Experience in Non-Financial Risk Management (e.g., operational risk, resilience, compliance) Work Environment & Interaction ~3 hours/day in meetings Interaction with internal and external stakeholders No access to customer data Why Join Opportunity to work in a leading financial institution Exposure to enterprise-level risk management platforms (eGRC) Strong career growth potential into senior BA or product roles Collaborative Agile team environment Use AI for Hiring : Our recruitment process for this role includes the use of AI-based tools to help evaluate candidate qualifications and screen applications.
