Intermediate Business Intelligence Analyst Work Arrangement: Work must be done from within Canada, due to network and data security issues. The resource will work remotely, however in the event of an onsite meeting, the Bevertec does not pay for travel to attend on-site meetings, nor any expenses related to relocation, commuting, housing/accommodation, food/drink. Meetings will take place in Edmonton, Alberta Meetings may occur up to 3–4 times (or more) per fiscal year, but the actual frequency will depend on the specific initiative and will be determined on an on-demand basis.

Duration: Job Posting Start Date: 06/29/2026 Job Posting End Date: 03/31/2027 Must have: Direct hands on experience in designing solutions to test, monitor, and audit data accuracy and completeness, both inside Power BI models and during upstream data preparation Direct hands-on experience with a comprehensive set of visualization techniques and features that demonstrate both technical depth and storytelling skill using Power Bi. Experience developing complex measures, calculated columns, advanced time intelligence using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) in Power Bi Experience implementing Power BI Service features such as data refresh, workspaces and row-level security (RLS) Direct hands-on experience in analyzing large complex datasets to perform trend analysis, predictive analytics, and forecasting using Power BI and Azure analytics tools Direct hands-on experience in SQL for data transformations querying, and analytical processing in large scale environments Nice to have: Direct experience using source code control (such as GitHub etc.…) approaches for Power BI artifacts Experience leveraging AI-assisted tools (e.g., Copilot in Power BI/Fabric etc...) to accelerate data transformation, DAX generation, and report authoring. Proven ability to integrate Power BI’s native AI capabilities; such as AI Insights ,Key Influencers, and automated anomaly detection to deliver proactive business insights.

Experience with Databricks Medallion Architecture (Bronze–Silver–Gold) and how Gold layer data products support enterprise reporting and analytics Experience working with Government of Alberta datasets particularly Environmental Data (Water Licensing, Ambient Water monitoring), Transportation (Heavy permit loads) and Consumer licensing Proven experience in building and delivering data products using Synapse Analytics including development of curated dataset and Power Bi integration Note: AI-enabled tools may be used to sort applications based on job-related criteria.
