Layout Engineer

Job Title: Memory Layout Engineer Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada We are looking for a highly skilled Memory Layout Engineer with strong expertise in advanced node technologies to support high-performance semiconductor designs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in memory layout development, physical verification, and top-level integration across SRAM and other memory architectures on TSMC FinFET processes . Key Responsibilitie s• Design and implement custom layouts for memory block s, including :• SRA M• Register File s• RO M• TCA M• Develop and optimize layouts for critical memory components such as :• Sense amplifier s• Control circuit s• I/O block s• Bit-cell array s• Decoder s• Perform top-level memory integratio n, ensuring seamless assembly of memory macros within SoC environment s• Execute and resolve physical verification check s, including :• DRC (Design Rule Check )• LVS (Layout vs Schematic )• Density check s• Drive layout cleanup and signoff closur e, ensuring high-quality tapeout readines s• Analyze and mitigate IR drop and EM (Electromigration ) issues in memory layout s• Collaborate with circuit design, physical design, and process teams to ensure optimal performance, area, and powe rRequired Qualification s• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related fiel d• Proven experience in memory layout desig n at advanced technology node s• Hands-on experience with TSMC 7nm FinFET technolog yPreferred Qualification s• Experience with TSMC 6nm / 5nm / 4nm / 3n m technologie s• Strong understanding of memory architecture and layout methodologie s• Familiarity with industry-standard layout and verification tools (e.g., Virtuoso, Calibre )Key Skill s• Memory layout design (SRAM, ROM, TCAM, Register Files )• Advanced node layout expertise (FinFET technologies )• Physical verification (DRC, LVS, Density )• IR/EM analysis and mitigatio n• Top-level memory integratio n• Strong problem-solving and debugging skill sWork Experienc ePay Range : 90,000 - 105,000 (Canadian Dollars )
