Role Overview We are seeking an AI Engineer to support the delivery and expansion of our AI-powered Document Intelligence capability across Financial Services clients. This role combines AI solution configuration, document processing, workflow design, stakeholder engagement, and operational transformation. You will work directly with business users, operations teams, and technical specialists to design, configure, test, and deploy AI-driven document extraction and classification solutions that deliver measurable business value.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build hands-on experience in Applied AI, Generative AI, Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), and process automation while working on enterprise-scale transformation programmes. Key Responsibilities AI Solution Design & Configuration Configure and optimise AI-powered document extraction and classification solutions. Define document ontologies, extraction schemas, and business rules across multiple document types.

Design workflows to support operational and business requirements. Configure extraction fields, validation logic, transformations, and output structures. Support prompt engineering and model tuning activities to improve extraction accuracy and document classification performance.

Collaborate with Data Science and Engineering teams on advanced AI use cases and enhancements. AI Delivery & Implementation Support the end-to-end implementation lifecycle, including: Discovery and requirements gathering Solution configuration Testing and validation User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Production deployment Create and maintain validation datasets and "golden datasets". Analyse extraction results and recommend improvements to maximise accuracy.

Support scaling successful pilots into enterprise production solutions. Business Engagement & Enablement Facilitate workshops with Operations and Business teams to identify automation opportunities. Gather requirements and document business processes.

Translate operational requirements into AI-enabled workflows and solutions. Support onboarding activities for new business areas and use cases. Deliver demonstrations, walkthroughs, and training sessions for stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation Identify opportunities to improve AI performance, workflow efficiency, and user adoption. Contribute to the development of reusable AI assets, templates, and implementation playbooks. Support the expansion of AI Document Intelligence capabilities across new business functions and regions.

Stay current with developments in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Intelligent Automation technologies. Key Skills & Experience Experience working with AI, automation, workflow technologies or document processing solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Experience supporting technology delivery across multiple stakeholders. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

A genuine interest in AI, machine learning and emerging technologies. Desirable Experience Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), OCR or Document Intelligence platforms. Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).

Prompt engineering and AI model optimisation. Workflow automation platforms. Python, SQL, APIs, or low-code development tools.

Data modelling, ontology design, or metadata management. Process transformation and operational improvement initiatives. Financial Services or Banking experience.

Agile delivery methodologies.
