Commercial Finance Analyst

SQL Commercial Finance Analyst London (Hybrid) Permanent | Start ASAP £75k - £80k We’re working with a fast-growing organisation who are looking for a SQL Commercial Analyst to sit between data engineering and commercial analysis. You’ll own the SQL data environment and turn raw data into insight that drives decision-making across finance, operations, and leadership. This is a high-ownership role with exposure across the business and real impact on how data is used.

What You’ll Be Doing Build and maintain a scalable SQL data warehouse Develop and manage data pipelines ensuring accuracy and consistency Analyse key commercial drivers including revenue, pricing, volume, and margin Translate complex data into clear, actionable business insight Build finance forecasting models based on historical data Produce Excel outputs including: Variance analysis Performance bridges Commercial summaries Partner with stakeholders to translate business questions into structured analysis Support integration of new data sources as the business scales What We’re Looking For Strong SQL skills (complex queries, joins, aggregations, large datasets) Experience with data warehouses and data modelling Advanced Excel skills (financial modelling and reporting) Strong commercial finance awareness and ability to link data to business performance Self-sufficient and comfortable working independently Desirable Experience Fast-growth or multi-entity environments Power BI or similar BI tools ERP/CRM systems Why Join High-impact role with full ownership of data and insight Direct exposure to senior stakeholders Opportunity to shape reporting and forecasting from the ground up Fast-paced, growing organisation where your work has visible impact
