Production Manager - Manufacturing Leicester £55,000 - £60,000 + Bonus + Benefits An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Manager to join a respected and long-standing manufacturing business in Leicester. The role requires a hands-on manufacturing leader with a strong, proven background in sheet metal fabrication processes and the ability to drive performance across a complex production environment. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing a busy production operation of approximately 40+ employees, ensuring output targets are achieved whilst maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, health & safety and team performance.

Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will take ownership of day-to-day manufacturing operations, managing supervisors and team leaders across multiple production departments. The Role As Production Manager , you will be responsible for: Leading and managing the day-to-day production operation Managing and developing supervisors, team leaders and shop floor personnel Driving productivity, efficiency and operational performance improvements Ensuring production schedules and customer delivery commitments are achieved Monitoring labour utilisation and production capacity Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping Managing attendance, conduct, performance and disciplinary matters where required Working closely with planning, projects and senior management to establish production priorities Ensuring production systems and operational processes are followed consistently Identifying opportunities to improve workflow, output and operational efficiency Supporting a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence The Candidate We are seeking an experienced manufacturing leader who can demonstrate: 5yrs + background in sheet metal and fabrication Previous experience as a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager or similar leadership position Experience managing supervisors and sizable production teams Strong people management and leadership skills A proven track record of improving productivity, efficiency and operational performance Experience managing production planning, resource allocation and workflow Understanding of ERP/MRP or manufacturing management systems Strong knowledge of health & safety within a manufacturing environment The ability to balance operational priorities whilst maintaining quality and delivery performance What's on Offer Salary up to £60,000 depending on experience Performance-related bonus 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Pension scheme Stable, long-established manufacturing business Opportunity to make a significant impact on operational performance If you are an experienced Production Manager within manufacturing looking for a leadership role within a growing and well-established manufacturing business, we would welcome your application.
