As a Software Development EngineerII, you’ll work on technology that enables natural, intuitive experiences across multiple device types. You are an autonomous software engineer who thrives in ambiguity and can make sound architectural decisions.

You have robust skills in distributed systems and full‑stack development that are essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. You will Design and implement scalable systems for real‑time processing and multimodal AI integration Build core components of a horizontal capability that powers visual understanding across Amazon’s device ecosystem Partner with cross‑functional teams to deliver end‑to‑end customer experiences Solve complex technical challenges in distributed systems, real‑time processing, and API design A day in the life You will work on high‑impact projects that directly shape upcoming product launches. This role offers the opportunity to tackle Amazon’s hardest technical problems while building technology that will fundamentally change how people interact with AI assistants.
