Material Engineer - Oil & Gas Location: Mumbai Experience: 7+ Years Job Description: We are looking for a Material Engineer with 7+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry. The candidate will be responsible for material selection, preparation and review of material specifications, piping classes, technical bid evaluations, and vendor document reviews for EPC projects. Key Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Materials Engineering. Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or EPC projects. Experience in material selection for piping, pipelines, valves, fittings, and process equipment. Knowledge of corrosion assessment, material compatibility, coatings, and cathodic protection. Familiarity with international standards such as ASME, ASTM, API, ISO, and NACE . Experience in preparing and reviewing Material Requisitions (MR), Material Data Sheets (MDS), and Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE). Understanding of welding, fabrication, inspection, and QA/QC requirements.

Strong coordination skills with Process, Mechanical, Piping, Procurement, and Construction teams. Good communication and problem-solving abilities. Preferred: Experience in onshore/offshore Oil & Gas projects and EPC engineering environments.
