KCG is seeking a Navy Lessons Learned Analyst to join our team. (If for a proposal add: This position will be on-site work and is contingent upon award) Responsibilities Related activities to include, but not limited to: Deliver subject matter expertise to support the organization’s lessons-learned and knowledge-management program in accordance with applicable policies and guidance.

Analyze operational reports, communications, and digital repositories to identify observations, trends, and best practices. Prepare concise summaries and enter validated content into the designated knowledge-management system. Participate in meetings, briefings, and training events to collect insights and document lessons learned from operational activities.

Maintain accuracy and organization of entries within the lessons-learned system, ensuring proper validation, categorization, and content management. Develop and present training materials, system instruction, and program briefings tailored to command and unit requirements. Prepare trend analyses, summary reports, and tailored assessments to support leadership decision-making and operational planning.

Provide relevant historical insights and best practices to planning teams and exercise groups. Capture new lessons learned during events and integrate them into the system. Support issue-resolution processes by coordinating with stakeholders, preparing materials, and tracking actions and points of contact.

Identify issues or insights with broader applicability and coordinate dissemination to partner organizations or enterprise-level programs. Provide feedback on lessons-learned tools and collaboration platforms, including recommendations to enhance utilization and effectiveness. Deliver weekly or periodic updates summarizing lessons-learned activities, key issues, and ongoing program efforts.

Requirements: Requirements: Minimum of six to ten years of naval military experience, including at least three years of experience in an operational level staff (numbered fleet command or higher) Working knowledge of the joint and Navy lessons learned programs, and fleet experimentation program Knowledge of U.S. Navy and joint administrative and operational command and control structures, command relationships, and interrelationships Knowledge of naval services warfare objectives, operations, concepts, and doctrine (e.g., joint publications and Naval Warfare Publications) Knowledge of naval war fighting priorities and capabilities, and familiarity with major weapons systems as applied to naval and joint operations Superior communications skills (oral and written), high degree of tact, diplomacy, sound judgement, and the ability to work closely with senior military and civilian personnel is required. Must be able to work independently and in a team environment, and maintain positive working relationships internal and external to the command.
