Are you a proactive sales professional with a passion for architectural design and high‑end building materials? We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join a global leader in the premium engineered surface industry. In this role, you will be the face of a pioneering brand, driving market impact within the Architect & Designer (A&D) and Builder channels.
As a Business Development Manager, you will manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and relationship development to project completion, ensuring our products are the top choice for high‑profile commercial and residential projects. This sales & marketing position is based in Burnaby and requires a strategic thinker who can act as a trusted advisor to industry influencers. You will work closely with Regional Sales Managers to maximize opportunities and strengthen relationships within the local building community.
This is a permanent role within our sales & marketing division, where you will leverage your expertise to convert leads into long‑term customers. Benefits Competitive salary range of $60,000 - $70,000. Opportunity to work with a global leader in premium engineered quartz surfaces.

Banked time policy for weekend showroom coverage. Responsibilities Cultivate and maintain robust professional relationships with architects, interior designers, and design firms. Proactively identify and pursue new sales & marketing opportunities within the architecture and design sector.
Present, educate, and inspire designers through product knowledge meetings, lunch‑and‑learns, and CEU presentations. Develop and maintain a project opportunity pipeline focused on obtaining product specifications for new multifamily projects. Act as a primary relationship manager for defined territory accounts within the Builder Channel.
Drive brand message and increase share of shelf and selector list presence. Collaborate with internal teams, including design, production, and logistics, to ensure smooth project execution. Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to refine sales & marketing strategies.
Utilize CRM systems (Salesforce) to maintain accurate records of client interactions and pipeline status. Represent the company at trade shows, industry conferences, and networking events. Provide post‑sale support and service at customer residences where applicable.
Follow up on all builder proposals within two weeks of submission. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Business, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 3‑5 years of successful B2B sales experience, with a focus on architectural or design‑related industries.
Proven track record of persuading and influencing decision‑makers and converting leads into customers. Ability to manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and relationship development through to negotiation and project completion. Deep understanding of architectural and interior design concepts, materials, and trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to act as a trusted advisor. Strong presentation skills, including the ability to create, compose, and edit written materials. Proficiency in using CRM software (Salesforce) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Consultative approach to understanding and solving complex client challenges. Self‑motivated, proactive, and results‑driven with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid, full, and unrestricted driver’s license and willingness to engage in extensive local travel.
