Lynch Fluid Controls Inc. is a manufacturer of high‑quality fluid power components located in Mississauga, Ontario. We were established in 1987 and have been gaining recognition in many countries as a source of fluid power products. From our home in Mississauga, we design, manufacture and export hydraulic manifolds, valve systems, electronics and a growing selection of products that have been created by our first‑class team.

Our exclusive distribution arrangement with Sun Hydraulics has been the backbone in our manifold manufacturing division. We have been able to take cartridge valve integration to a new level and are now suppliers to many well recognized fluid power establishments and OEMs. We now routinely design manifolds for the world market, that interface with many manufacturers, fluids, materials, and applications.

JOB SUMMARY The Sales Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and driving performance of both the inside sales and outside sales teams. This role focuses on revenue growth, customer retention, market expansion, and alignment between sales, engineering, and operations to deliver effective hydraulic systems solutions to customers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Sales Leadership & Strategy Lead, coach, and manage inside and outside sales teams to achieve sales targets and company objectives.

Develop and execute sales strategies for hydraulic products and systems across key markets and industries. Set sales goals, monitor performance metrics, and implement corrective actions as required. Ensure alignment between inside and outside sales efforts to provide a seamless customer experience.

Team Management & Development Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate sales team members. Provide ongoing coaching on product knowledge, technical selling, customer engagement, and negotiation skills. Conduct regular performance reviews and support individual development plans.

Foster a collaborative, accountable, and customer‑focused sales culture. Manage team scheduling and employee resource balancing. Customer & Market Management Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic accounts.

Support outside sales representatives in managing major accounts and sales opportunities. Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and applications for hydraulic products. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.

Attend regional and international trade shows/conferences/events. Sales Operations & Forecasting Oversee sales forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting accuracy. Utilize AI and Reporting/BI automation tools to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.

Ensure all individual and department KPI’s and targets are achieved. Collaborate with inside and outside sales team members to ensure timely quoting, order processing, and meaningful customer follow‑ups and engagements. Work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to align customer expectations with operational capabilities.

Ensure CRM systems and sales tools are effectively utilized and data integrity and accuracy is maintained. Product & Technical Knowledge Maintain a strong working knowledge of hydraulic products, systems, and applications. Ensure sales teams are knowledgeable in product specifications, capabilities, and value propositions.

Support technical sales discussions and solution‑based selling approaches. Participate in continuous learning, training events, and other opportunities for skills and knowledge development. Compliance & Process Improvement Ensure sales activities comply with company policies, pricing guidelines, and ethical standards.

Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, customer service, and cross‑functional collaboration. Participate in budgeting, pricing strategy development, and margin management. ACADEMIC/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Post‑secondary education in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Minimum 5–8 years of sales experience in industrial manufacturing, hydraulics, or a related industrial or technical field. Minimum 3–5 years of sales leadership or management experience . Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, components, or fluid power applications preferred.

Proven ability to lead both inside and outside sales teams. Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency with CRM systems, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
