Senior Manager, Cloud & Data Platform Solutions

AARC Environmental

HyderabadFull-timeMid LevelOn-site

Job Description

We turn complex, document-heavy, compliance-driven processes into intelligent digital systems โ€” spanning EHS and permitting, engineering, and tax and financial advisory workflows โ€” built on modern web applications, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, APIs, and AI-enabled automation. Our cloud and data platform is the foundation everything runs on: it hosts our applications, holds our data in Microsoft Fabric, powers Power BI analytics and RAG / agentic AI systems, and integrates across SharePoint, Monday.com, Jotform, FileMaker Pro, QuickBooks, and other enterprise systems. Job Overview Do you want to own the cloud and data platform behind a fast-growing AI company โ€” and help grow it into a multi-cloud capability as we take on AI solution work for external clients?

Do you enjoy being the person who turns business goals into a secure, reliable, well-run platform, and leading the engineers who build on it? We are looking for a Senior Manager, Cloud and Data Platform Solutions to own AARC's cloud platform, set its direction, and lead the team that builds and runs it. You will own the Azure cloud environment that hosts AARC's applications, data, and AI systems โ€” including the Microsoft Fabric data platform and the Power BI analytics and pipelines built on it โ€” and keep it secure, reliable, and cost-efficient.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role: you own the platform end-to-end, shape how we deliver cloud solutions, and lead the engineers who deliver on it. The role is anchored on Microsoft Azure and Fabric today, with the expectation that you build multi-cloud breadth (AWS, GCP) as AARC takes on AI solution work for external clients. Based in India, you will manage and develop AARC's India-based engineering team, partner closely with the AI and full-stack engineering functions, and work directly with US-based leadership to turn business priorities into a well-run platform.

What You Will Do Cloud Platform (Azure) Own AARC's Azure cloud platform โ€” the environment that hosts our applications, data, and AI systems (App Service, Functions, Blob Storage, Key Vault, and related services). Keep the platform reliable, scalable, secure, and cost-efficient, with sound secrets management, identity, and access control. Oversee how applications are hosted and run on the cloud, working alongside the full-stack and DevOps engineers.

Data Platform โ€” Microsoft Fabric & Analytics Own the Microsoft Fabric data platform โ€” Lakehouse, Warehouse, SQL endpoints, Dataflows Gen2, and pipelines โ€” as the shared source of truth for analytics, applications, and AI. Build and maintain reliable ETL/ELT and refresh schedules; keep data governed, performant, and well-documented. Lead delivery of Power BI dashboards and robust data models (Power Query, DAX), including performance tuning and Row-Level Security.

Provide the secure, structured data access that full-stack applications and AI/RAG systems query; write and optimize SQL/T-SQL (and KQL/PySpark where applicable). Automation & Enterprise Integration Oversee API-based data acquisition and workflow automation using Make.com and Power Automate (HTTP modules, routers, webhooks, scheduling, retries, error handling). Support integrations across SharePoint, Microsoft Graph, Monday.com, Jotform, FileMaker, and QuickBooks.

Ensure automation is reliable, auditable, and suitable for business-critical compliance workflows. Multi-Cloud Breadth (Azure-first) Maintain deep, hands-on ownership of Azure and Fabric as the core platform. Build breadth across AWS (e.g., Bedrock, SageMaker) and GCP (e.g., Vertex AI) so AARC can deliver client AI solutions on the cloud that fits the client.

Make pragmatic, vendor-neutral choices on cloud services and tooling based on fit, cost, and security. Cloud Solutions for Clients Design cloud solution architectures for AARC's external client engagements โ€” spanning compute, data, AI/ML, and integration โ€” on the cloud that best fits the client (Azure, AWS, or GCP). Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, translating their business objectives into cloud-native architectures.

Support proposals and RFP responses with credible, costed solution designs, and own the technical success of client implementations from architecture through delivery. Define multi-tenancy, security, and data-handling patterns appropriate for client data. Security, Cost & Governance Act as the subject-matter owner for cloud and data security across the platform.

Apply identity, access, and data-protection practices (Entra ID, RBAC, OAuth 2.0) appropriate to the regulated, compliance-driven contexts AARC works in (EHS, engineering, tax, and financial advisory). Monitor cloud usage and cost; drive optimization and report cost and value to leadership. Contribute to compliance, audit-readiness, disaster recovery, and platform reliability standards.

Team Leadership & Collaboration Manage, mentor, and grow AARC's India-based engineering team (including analytics engineers); set engineering standards, run code/dataset reviews, and support career development. Act as a trusted technical advisor to US-based leadership, translating business objectives into clear platform architecture and priorities. Operate independently and drive multiple concurrent workstreams across cloud, data, automation, and AI support, from requirements through production.

Establish and share best practices and standards across AARC's engineering teams, and partner with AI engineers, full-stack engineers, and the Technical Project Manager. Proactively raise risks, blockers, dependencies, and timelines; communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to technical and executive audiences. Contribute to documentation, data-model definitions, deployment notes, and operational runbooks.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 10+ years across cloud computing, infrastructure, data & analytics, security, networking, or systems engineering โ€” broad technology domain experience. 5+ years designing, implementing, or architecting cloud solutions and data platforms. 5+ years managing or leading engineering teams (including senior engineers or team leads). Track record of owning technical strategy and standards for a platform or function. Hands-on experience owning a major cloud environment โ€” Azure preferred (App Service, Functions, Storage, Key Vault, identity, networking, security); AWS or GCP experience equally valued.

Experience with cloud data platforms and analytics โ€” Microsoft Fabric SQL and Power BI preferred, or comparable (e.g., Synapse, Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery; Tableau, Looker). Strong SQL and data fundamentals, including ETL/ELT and pipeline design. Experience with application hosting, deployment, and CI/CD on the cloud (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps), plus monitoring and diagnostics.

Experience integrating systems via REST/Graph APIs and workflow automation (e.g., Make.com, Power Automate, or similar). Working understanding of cloud security, identity, governance, and cost management. Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills โ€” able to advise leadership and lead a team on-site.

Preferred Qualifications Multi-cloud certifications โ€” e.g., Azure AZ-305 / AZ-400 / DP-600, AWS Solutions Architect, or Google Professional Cloud Architect. Infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience. Experience with Docker/containers, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Bicep), and cloud-native architecture.

Experience designing client-facing cloud solution architectures, multi-tenant SaaS, and responding to RFPs or solution proposals. Experience supporting AI/LLM and RAG workloads across providers (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, GCP Vertex AI) and vector databases. Experience acting as a technical advisor to senior or executive stakeholders, translating business needs into architecture.

Python for ETL/automation; KQL or PySpark; Azure Data Factory; exposure to Copilot in Fabric. Monday.com administration, access controls, and governance experience. Experience in regulated industries โ€” compliance, environmental services, engineering, healthcare, finance, or legal.

Growth Opportunity This role offers strong, company-wide ownership of AARC's cloud and data platform and leadership of the India-based engineering team. You will work closely with US-based leadership, contribute to architecture and platform standards, and have a clear path to grow into broader multi-cloud and client-facing solution delivery as the business expands.
