Job Description Posted Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 8:00 AM About the role Facilities Engineer will be responsible for managing capital projects. This position will be based out of the Calgary office, reporting directly to the Manager, Engineering. The successful candidate must hold a valid driver's license and be willing to travel regularly to our operating sites in Saskatchewan and North Dakota.

Key Responsibilities Manage capital projects with limited supervision up to $50 MM Combine strong communication and interpersonal skills with a thorough understanding of project management, facility design, construction and commissioning Forecasting, budget creation and control of facilities capital expenditures, ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget Management of key contractors and vendors including engineering firms, construction contractors and equipment suppliers Ensure proper facilities design processes are followed with adherence to best practices including drawing reviews, HAZOPs, risk assessments, etc. Close coordination with commercial and financial accounting to support financial reporting processes Project execution from origination & initial planning to supervision of day to day operations of facilities; supporting project construction, commission and start-up of greenfield/brownfield assets Monitor contractor and supplier performance and acting quickly on under performance Monitor performance against project critical success factors at project meetings Travel to the field as required Other duties as assigned Required Skills Experience in power generation and/or turbine installation projects an asset Strong analytical, decision making, organizational and facilitator skills Ability and willingness to make timely technical decisions and recommendations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment as well as independently Thorough understanding of the economics and technical aspects of projects as well as the qualitative aspects of project implementation Comfortable giving presentations and facilitating meetings Experience and Education 10-20 years operational/facilities engineering experience, ideally with a significant proportion spent in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin Experience in medium to high voltage is considered an asset Experience in North Dakota, USA will be considered an asset A Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical engineering degree or equivalent Professional designation in APEGA preferred Project management and execution experience on a portfolio of multiple small and intermediate projects (Sub $50M) Experience detailing mechanical, process design and instrumentation in projects Experience in leading multi-functional teams and managing the work of engineering contractors Experience working in a multi-discipline project environment Why Join our Team Competitive compensation and bonus programs Competitive benefit package, including a Flex Spending Account and Savings Plan matching Monthly phone allowance 8 hours of annual paid Volunteer time to support the communities in which we operate Team building activities Various recognition reward programs including long-term service awards and value-based awards Ability to contribute to a dynamic organization with large growth ambitions All positions require background screening.
