About the Role As a Product Engineer at Ashby, you will own end‑to‑end projects across the product and design spectrum. You will research competitors, write product specifications, create wireframes, and deliver features that impact tens of thousands of daily users. Responsibilities Design and build reusable building blocks that span the stack.
Research user needs and competitive landscapes to inform product strategy. Write clear product specifications and wireframes. Implement features from prototype to production, maintaining quality and speed.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineers. Examples of work: automated interview scheduling, declarative filtering architecture, and integrated offer signing. Qualifications Comfortable tackling any layer of the stack, from frontend to backend.
Experience delivering high‑quality products under technical and product ambiguity. Strong balance of speed and quality, with a focus on delivering value quickly. A spirit of continuous improvement and a willingness to learn.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to align with stakeholders. Drive to create abstractions and tools that increase productivity. We do not require a traditional tech‑lead or heavy process structure.
Mentorship is limited; we expect engineers to take ownership of complex projects.
